The Formation of Virtual Society:

Explore the Opportunities and Challenges in Digital Era

With the formation of virtual society, global online environment is facing rapid changes and challenges with many emerging Internet applications. These applications have vital impact on global business, culture, and society where we live. Meanwhile, the 5G, AI and IoTs will lead us to the coming era of connectivity which is also the focus for APIRA to address further on its impact and influence. APIRA members are to gather in Taipei this December for the annual conference, to compare each other’s Internet survey statistics and discuss the three major aspects: society, economy, and culture.

The conference serves as an open platform for participants to exchange ideas, foster a better understanding on regional developments and strengthen connections among Internet communities.

Call for papers

The 15th APIRA International Conference and the 3rd Big Data Forum will be held in Macao, from November 4 to 6, 2018.

It is focused on exploring the internet development and trend in the Asia-Pacific region and brings the industrial leaders, policy makers, professionals and scholars together to share and discuss their research and professional results and viewpoints.

The themes include:

  1. Big data
  2. Smart city
  3. Internet statistics

2017 Taiwan Internet Forum on Internet Trends
